3 diet myths busted

A lot of people who try to lose weight complain of not losing weight even if they are working so hard.  These people are usually misguided by false promises, unproven gimmicks and misguided perceptions about dieting.  To help you truly lose weight for a better and healthy body, stop believing and following these 3 diets myths:

1. You can lose 10 lbs in 2 weeks.

If you crash diet, you will definitely lose 10 pounds in 2 weeks.  Losing weight fast will also make you regain weight quickly.  To truly lose the pounds, you have to work patiently.  Don’t risk your health by exercising a lot and eating small amounts of food.

2. If you exercise, you can eat as much as you want.

To effectively lose weight, you still need to keep an eye on the calories your taking.  It is harder to burn the calories you consumed compared to holding back and choosing the right food and portions to eat.

3. You should expect to be hungry while dieting.

Cutting calories randomly will make you feel hungry.  If you plan your meals and portions throughout the day, you will feel full and satisfied for the whole day.  Choose meals that contain good sources of protein like fish and turkey and high in fiber like vegetables and hummus.
