The Benefits from Eating Vegetables

It is very important to add vegetables to your diet.  Vegetables are not only delicious, they are unmistakably healthy.  Vegetables contain fiber that help the digestive system remain healthier.  Constipation, colon cancers or polyps can be avoided by eating vegetables that are high in fiber.  The fiber will also make a person feel fuller which makes vegetables a top choice for people who are on a diet.

Vegetables contain antioxidants like Vitamin C that relieves the body from stress and diseases.  Lycopene found in some vegetables can also help protect your eyes from sight problems.  Every vegetable contains certain vitamins, mineral and nutrients that target our bodies different needs.  Vegetables also contain high levels of water making them fat free and low in calories.

It is simple and easy to add vegetables in our diet.  You can see grocery stores selling salad mixes, vegetable juices, and fresh vegetables all the time.  There are also vegetable based proteins, breads and pasta.  So stay healthy and fit by eating vegetables!
