Laughter, Weight Loss and Chocolate

According to a study done by the Vanderbilt University, laughter can contribute to weight loss.  The kind of laughter that can help lose weight is a genuine laughter that lasts for about 10 to 15 minutes.  Laughing heartily can burn the same number of calories that people get when they eat a medium square of chocolate that has about 50 calories.  If done everyday and assuming that everything else stays the same, a person can decrease their weight by up to 4 pounds just by laughing.

Laughter has other health benefits aside from decreasing weight.  Laughter also produces natural endorphins that stimulate our brain to release chemicals that lower blood pressure to prevent certain heart diseases, decreases stress and improves the mood.

So the next time you get hold of a bar of chocolate, don’t worry too much about the calories you’ll gain, just laugh it off and you’ll definitely burn them away.
