Anyone can have a diet relapse. But you can certainly prevent it by following these simple steps to help keep your body healthy and fit:
1. Weigh yourself regularly. Limit your increase in weight by 3 to 5 pounds. If you go beyond that limit, then it’s a signal that you need to act immediately before the pounds build up again.
2. Ask yourself why your weight is increasing. Look objectively at what brought the relapse.
3. Be positive. It doesn’t mean you’re a failure just because you gained weight.
4. Remind yourself of all the hard work you did to lose the weight, and how disappointed you’ll be if you go into relapse.
5. Learn from your mistakes. Don’t do the things that cause you to have a relapse.
6. Plan and implement your “back on track” strategy right away.
7. Ask help from family, friends and trainer to help you succeed.
