Foods High in Protein

Everyone should have a diet rich in protein.  Protein is essential for muscle growth, muscle development and preserves healthy muscle mass.  Protein aids in the cell structure, growth hormone production, tissue repair and enzyme production.  Protein is excellent for people who want to have stronger and larger muscles but drinking protein shakes will not be enough to build stronger muscles.

Here is a list of protein rich foods that you need to consume if you want to build stronger and larger muscles.  Try including some of these delicious high protein foods in your diet to help grow and maintain a healthy muscle mass for your body.

1. Turkey, Roasted chicken breast
2. Almonds, cashews, peanut and peanut butter
3. Cottage cheese, low fat yogurt, whole milk, skim milk, soymilk, cheddar cheese
4. Water-packed tuna, fish
5. Extra lean hamburger, broiled beefsteak,
6. Cooked lentils, split peas, macaroni, rice, potato, broccoli, corn, kidney beans
7. Eggs
8. Tofu
