If you don’t want half of the cheese from your cheeseburger to just melt off, try putting the cheese in the middle of the burger patty. This will prevent the cheese from melting and will make the burger moist and creamy.
Ingredients:
1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese, 1/4 cup shredded Gruyere cheese, 1 pound 90%-lean ground beef, 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, 1 1/2 teaspoons paprika, 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
Procedure:
1. Preheat the grill to medium-high.
2. Combine ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, paprika and pepper in a large bowl. Use your hands to thoroughly combine the ingredients then form 8 thin patties that are 4 inches in width. Place a spoonful of cheddar and gruyere on 4 patties and cover each with the remaining patties. Crimp the patties to seal the edges.
4. Lightly oil the preheated grill. Grill the patties for 4 minutes on each side until medium well.
