 6 skinny (and delicious) foods for weight loss

Losing weight doesn’t mean that you have to eat bland and unpalatable dishes.  So here is a list of some tasty meals that will guarantee to keep you in shape.

1. Shrimp contains 8 calories a piece and a good source of lean protein. Order a shrimp cocktail if you’re dining out or eating at home.  It is tasty and low in calories.

2. Add a few drops of hot sauce to any of your dishes.  Try making a chicken salad and add hot sauce to the dressing made with reduced fat mayo.  The heat will slow down your eating so you’ll eat less to the point of fullness.

3. Make a pumpkin pudding by combining 6 ounces of nonfat vanilla yoghurt, a dash of cinnamon with half a can of pure pumpkin puree.  This yummy meal will make you feel fuller because of the protein and fiber.

4. Start your meal with a vegetable soup.  Vegetables are high in fiber so it will fill you up quickly, making you eat less for your main entrée.

5. Make a salad by using cucumber, onion and tomatoes.  Toss these ingredients together with light vinaigrette.  The high amount of water in the onion, tomato and cucumber makes them low in calories.

6. Drink a warm cup of ginger green tea to de-stress.  Drinking green tea helps boost the metabolism.  Add ginger to give it a distinct and yummy flavor.
