
Ever since kindergarten, our parents have always told us to “wash your hands,” especially before eating or after leaving a public restroom. But surprise, surprise: up to a quarter of us didn’t obey and still don’t—until swine flu came along.
Although swine flu is a negative phenomenon, it has yielded some positive changes on the health habits of United Kingdom residents. Now, not only do they wash their hands while singing the happy birthday song, they also carry along a bottle of hand sanitizer or rubbing alcohol wherever they go.
