How to Get Rid of Bad Breath

Tired of quick fixes to cover up bad breath or halitosis? Do people turn their backs at you because of the odor that turns them off? Scared to lose your social life and self esteem? Know some ways of killing the horror breath in you.

1. Clean your mouth thoroughly, regularly. Sources of mouth odor are bacteria and decaying food. Even you brush regularly, it is not enough. Clean your tongue using your toothbrush, edge of the spoon or a tongue cleaner to scrape it. Make it a habit to floss as well to remove chunks of food that have stuck in your teeth and gum.
2. Keep your mouth moisturized. Saliva washes bacteria and food particles away. It has antiseptic and enzymes that kills bacteria. You can stimulate saliva production by chewing a gum. Drink water to cleanse and wash your mouth.
3. Eat a banana. Munch on some carb-rich snacks like bananas to prevent production of ketones. Ketone breathe is released in your mouth when you’re on a low-carb diet.
4. Talk to a doctor. Followed the above steps and bad breath persists? You may have a medical issue that needs to be treated.
